As many indigenous families move from the Andes Mountains to cities, improving the access and quality of education is vital. However, many students quickly surpass their parents' education levels. Without academic support or access, students may seek economic opportunities rather than completing their education. This continues the poverty cycle.

 

Refugio Rafael’s after-school program aims to keep students enrolled in school and provide academic support services. Students receive tutoring and homework assistance services and build self-confidence and resilience skills. Our program further builds entrepreneurship and technical skills to break the poverty cycle for students and their families.

 

All donations, once and recurring, continue supporting and providing programs to Refugio Rafael students. We ask for your support, especially through recurring donations to better leverage our matching dollars, and to achieve our fundraising goal. Thank you for your support.
